My Picnic: How Stickers, Packs and the Blanket Work

How Puzzle Picnic's stickers work: the points meter, packs, common, rare and shiny stickers, sparkles, the album's collections and your own picnic blanket.

My picnic is the sticker collection that grows alongside your puzzles in Puzzle Picnic. Every puzzle you solve adds points to a meter; when the meter is full you get a sticker pack of three stickers (four with Premium). Stickers are common, rare or shiny, they fill an album of themed collections, and you can arrange them on your own picnic blanket. Duplicates turn into sparkles, which buy stickers you are missing. Packs are opened between puzzles, never during one.

This guide is for players who have just found My picnic and want to know how it fits together.

How you earn a sticker pack

A sticker pack comes from a points meter, not from a single solve. Every puzzle you finish adds points, and when the meter fills up, a pack is waiting for you. The result screen shows the meter after every solve, with small notes saying where the points came from, so you can always see how close the next pack is.

Some solves are worth more than others:

What you didEffect on the meter
Solved any puzzleAdds points
Solved a harder levelAdds more than an easier one
Solved it clean: no hints, no power-ups, no mistakesAdds a bonus on top
Solved today's daily puzzleAdds a bonus on top
Earned an achievement with the solveAdds a little more

An assisted solve still counts. If you used a hint or a power-up, the result screen shows the clean bonus you missed, so you know what a clean solve would have added. Nothing is taken away, and the meter still moves.

New players start with a few packs already waiting, so the album has something in it from the first day. Those starter packs are also the only ones that promise a sticker you do not have yet. After them, every pack is a fair surprise.

Opening a pack

Opening a pack shows you three random stickers, or four if you have Premium. Rare and shiny stickers get a little extra ceremony in the reveal: a halo or sun rays behind them. Any sticker in a pack can be one you already own.

You open packs from My picnic, between puzzles; they wait until you are ready. You can open each one as it arrives, or let a few build up and open them on a quiet evening.

Common, rare and shiny stickers

Every sticker has one of three rarities: common, rare or shiny. Most stickers in a pack are common, rare ones turn up less often, and shiny stickers are the scarce ones you remember finding. Each collection holds twelve stickers: eight common, three rare and one shiny.

RarityIn each collectionHow it looks
Common8A plain sticker with a white die-cut edge
Rare3A cool halo, and a diamond gem in the tray and the pack reveal
Shiny1A warm glow with twinkling glints, and a star gem

The album shows rarity even for stickers you have not found yet: their outlines are tinted the same way, so you can see where the rare and shiny ones will go. Tap a sticker you have stuck in the album to see its details: its rarity, how many copies you have, how many are on your blanket, what a duplicate of it pays, and how often that rarity drops.

Duplicates and sparkles

A duplicate sticker is never wasted. When a pack gives you a sticker you already own, it pays you sparkles, and rarer duplicates pay more. It also adds a copy of that sticker for your picnic blanket (up to a limit), so a common sticker you keep finding can appear on your blanket more than once.

Sparkles are the album's safety net. Once you have saved enough, you can trade them for one missing sticker of your choice. Rarer stickers cost more sparkles, and you can only trade for stickers from collections that are open to you. The app tells you how many more sparkles you need before you can trade.

Duplicates do not count twice in the album: each collection page still takes one of each sticker. Extra copies are for decoration only.

The album and its collections

The album is a book of collections, one page each, and every collection has twelve stickers. Sticking a sticker takes one tap: each one has its own spot on its page, so there is no aiming involved. Finish a page and it pays you a bonus pack, once.

Six collections open as your player level rises, and your player level goes up as you solve puzzles. Two more are for Premium players from the start.

A locked page still shows its sticker outlines, so you can see what is coming. Stickers from a locked collection do not appear in your packs until that collection opens, which keeps the packs focused on pages you can actually fill.

Your picnic blanket

The blanket is a free space where you arrange the stickers you have found, however you like. Every copy you own can go on it once, so duplicates mean more of that sticker to place. A tray under the blanket shows your stickers and how many copies of each are still waiting to go down.

What you can do on the blanket:

  • Place a sticker by tapping it in the tray.
  • Move it by dragging.
  • Resize and turn it with the corner knob, or with two fingers.
  • Flip it, bring it to the front, or remove it.
  • Choose a blanket: there are four gingham blankets to pick from.

The blanket holds up to 40 stickers at a time. Taking a sticker off the blanket never removes it from your collection; it just goes back to the tray. On a keyboard, Tab moves to a sticker, the arrow keys move it, plus and minus change its size, the square brackets turn it, Delete removes it and Escape lets go.

There is no right way to fill a blanket. You might lay out a tidy picnic spread with the food in the middle and the critters around the edges, or pile on every shiny sticker you own. The blanket is the one part of Puzzle Picnic with no rules at all.

Stickers never change the puzzles

Stickers in Puzzle Picnic are a reward around the puzzles, never part of them. A sticker does not make a puzzle easier, give you a hint or change your time, and a player with a full album gets exactly the same daily puzzle as someone who has never opened a pack. That keeps the puzzles fair to compare: when you challenge a friend, your stickers have no effect on the race.

It also means you can ignore My picnic entirely if collecting is not for you. The meter fills in the background either way, and the packs simply wait.

How long a full album takes

A full album is meant to take months, not weeks. Packs are random and can repeat, and the later collections only open at higher player levels. That pace is deliberate: the stickers are there to give a long run of daily puzzles something to show for itself, not to be cleared in a weekend.

If you want to collect a little faster without changing how you play, these help the most:

  1. Play the daily puzzle. It adds a bonus to the meter every day, and it keeps your streak going.
  2. Go for clean solves. Solving without hints, power-ups or mistakes adds a bonus each time.
  3. Move up a level when you are ready. Harder levels add more points per solve. Easy to Expert: what changes at each level helps you judge when.
  4. Finish pages. A full page pays a bonus pack, so when you do trade, the nearly complete page is often the best place to spend sparkles.

For free players, there is one more option. If you have no pack left to open, you can choose to watch one short video a day for a boost to the pack meter, about a third of a pack. It only counts if you watch it to the end, and it is always your choice: it is offered on My picnic, never during a puzzle. How the app paces videos and other ads is explained in ads without interrupting a puzzle.

Premium, accounts and your collection

What Premium adds

Premium is an optional one-time purchase, with no subscription and nothing that renews. For My picnic it adds two things: packs of four stickers instead of three, and the two Premium collections, Picnic Gear and Picnic Pals, open from the start. Premium also removes ads and adds unlimited hints and power-ups, the daily archive and extra colour themes, but none of that is needed to enjoy the stickers. The six main collections are fully collectable for free.

Premium is bought in the iPhone or Android app; it is not sold on the web.

Your collection on more than one device

Your stickers are saved on your device and work offline, like everything else in Puzzle Picnic. With the optional account, your collection is backed up and synced along with the rest of your progress. A pack you open on one device does not reappear on another, and stickers found on either device end up in the same album.

Two settings are worth knowing apart. Resetting your puzzle progress keeps your sticker collection. Deleting your data removes it, along with everything else.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get sticker packs in Puzzle Picnic?

Solve puzzles. Every solve adds points to a meter, and a full meter gives you a pack. Harder levels, clean solves and the daily puzzle add more points, so they fill the meter faster.

What are sparkles for?

Sparkles come from duplicate stickers, with rarer duplicates paying more. Once you have enough, you can trade them in the album for any missing sticker from a collection that is open to you.

Can I open a sticker pack during a puzzle?

No. Packs are only opened from My picnic, between puzzles. The app never interrupts a puzzle with a reward, so you can solve without distractions and open your packs afterwards.

Do I need Premium to complete the album?

No. The six main collections are all collectable without paying. Premium adds bigger packs of four stickers and two extra collections, Picnic Gear and Picnic Pals.

How long does it take to fill the album?

Months of regular play. Packs are random, duplicates are common, and later collections open only at higher player levels. Daily solves, clean solves and finishing pages all speed it up a little.

Where to go next

If you are new to Puzzle Picnic, what Puzzle Picnic is gives the full tour of the six games and how the app works. To get your first packs quickly, a few Easy puzzles are the gentlest start: a first sudoku or a first Star Battle both fill the meter. And if you want the stickers to come with a habit, building a daily puzzle habit that lasts has ideas that work alongside the daily bonus. Open the app at puzzlepicnic.app and solve a puzzle to see the meter move.
